Schaller is a professor of biological sciences at Dartmouth College, and has published many research articles on plant molecular biology and also contributed essays and reviews to the Clarion Foundation blog (clarionfoundation.wordpress.com), The New York Review of Science Fiction, and WeirdFictionReview.com. His illustrations have appeared in City of Saints and Madmen by Jeff VanderMeer, Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, The White Buffalo Gazette, The Thackery T.
